As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Morristown Manor, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with nursing staff to monitor patient health and report any changes in condition. This position requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes the dignity and independence of each individual in our care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
  • Help patients with mobility and physical activities, including transferring and positioning.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient needs and changes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
  • Additional certifications in specialized areas of patient care.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate with a diverse resident population.

Attention to detail is crucial when monitoring vital signs and documenting patient information accurately.
