The Housekeeping position at Greenwood Health and Living is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. This role involves not only cleaning and sanitizing living spaces but also ensuring that common areas are well-kept and organized. Housekeepers play a vital role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents by providing a hygienic and pleasant atmosphere. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness are crucial for success in this position. Ultimately, the Housekeeping team contributes significantly to the health and well-being of all individuals within the facility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as dining rooms, lounges, and hallways.
  • Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and personal clothing.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the organization and stocking of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in infection control or related training.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment.

Skills

The required skills for this role include strong attention to detail, which is essential for ensuring that all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained. Time management skills are also important, as housekeepers must efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
