The Housekeeping position at Greenwood Health and Living is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. This role involves not only cleaning and sanitizing living spaces but also ensuring that common areas are well-kept and organized. Housekeepers play a vital role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents by providing a hygienic and pleasant atmosphere. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness are crucial for success in this position. Ultimately, the Housekeeping team contributes significantly to the health and well-being of all individuals within the facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as dining rooms, lounges, and hallways.
- Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and personal clothing.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the organization and stocking of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in infection control or related training.
- Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment.
Skills
