The Housekeeping Staff at Altenheim plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This position is essential for ensuring that all living spaces, common areas, and facilities are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, which contribute to the overall comfort and well-being of the residents. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality service are paramount in this role, as it directly impacts the residents’ daily experiences. Ultimately, the Housekeeping Staff helps foster a positive atmosphere that promotes health and happiness within the Altenheim community.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Manage and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and effectively.
- Follow established protocols for the use of cleaning chemicals to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with room service and meal delivery, ensuring that dining areas are clean and organized.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in English to understand cleaning instructions and safety guidelines.
- Experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in a healthcare or residential setting.
- Previous experience working in a senior living or healthcare environment.
