The Dietary Aide/Server at Altenheim plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals that cater to their dietary needs. This position involves not only serving food but also assisting in meal preparation and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. The Dietary Aide/Server will work closely with the kitchen staff and dietary team to ensure that all meals are prepared according to specific dietary guidelines and preferences. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with residents to understand their meal preferences and any dietary restrictions they may have. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance the dining experience for residents, contributing to their overall well-being and satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure that dining areas are clean, organized, and properly set up for meals.
- Communicate with residents to understand their dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Support the kitchen staff in food preparation and inventory management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while handling food and maintaining cleanliness.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary aide or food service role.
- Knowledge of special dietary needs and nutrition.
- Certification in food safety or sanitation.
