The Dining Services Aide at Aspen Trace plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive high-quality dining experiences that meet their nutritional needs and preferences. This position involves assisting in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals, contributing to a welcoming and pleasant dining atmosphere. The aide will work closely with kitchen staff and management to maintain food safety standards and ensure that all meals are served in a timely manner. Additionally, the role includes engaging with residents to understand their dietary requirements and preferences, fostering a sense of community and care. Ultimately, the Dining Services Aide helps enhance the overall quality of life for residents through attentive and compassionate service.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and clearing tables.
- Support kitchen staff in food preparation and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
- Engage with residents to understand their dietary needs and preferences, providing personalized service.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance service skills and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dining or food service environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Experience working with elderly or special needs populations.
