The Resource Registered Nurse (M-F) at Greenwood Health and Living plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of residents. This position involves direct patient interaction, where the nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans tailored to individual needs. The nurse will also provide education to patients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about their health conditions and treatment options. Additionally, the role includes advocating for patients’ rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the best possible care. Ultimately, the Resource Registered Nurse will contribute to a supportive and healing environment, enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Greenwood Health and Living.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring their voices are heard in care decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Wound Care or Telemetry.
- Experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
Skills
The required skills of direct patient care and patient education are essential for the Resource Registered Nurse, as they will be interacting with patients daily to assess their needs and provide necessary information about their health. Wound care skills will be utilized to manage and treat patients with various types of wounds, ensuring proper healing and recovery. Telemetry skills will be important for monitoring patients’ vital signs and recognizing any changes that may require immediate attention. Patient advocacy is a critical skill that will enable the nurse to represent the interests of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support. Overall, these skills will be integrated into daily tasks to promote a safe and effective healthcare environment.
