Leadership and Development Programs

Through participation in our no-cost training programs, associates can strengthen their skills in communication, team building, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and more. The Leadership Acceleration Path (LeAP) is an exciting career path for associates at CarDon who wish to invest in their professional development. LeAP consists of four quarterly modules and is designed to equip emerging leaders to solve problems, be more effective at leading a team and become better positioned for professional advancement.

Each year, a fresh group of CarDon associates participate in a monthly learning experience to expand their understanding of leadership in long term care. Each monthly session explores a different aspect of leadership, compassionate care and service while nurturing relationships across specialties.

Financial Wellness is a single, one-hour session designed to provide practical tips for decreasing debt and stress, increasing savings, and planning for the future. The session helps participants identify small changes that can be made immediately as well as establishing a plan for longer term management for an improved financial outlook. Participants will be provided with tools to develop a clear understanding of their current financial situation and a process for laying the foundation for a strong financial future.

Career advancement isn't a vague possibility or an empty promise here. We can help you set measurable goals and guide you toward career ladders with specific steps to climb, certifications to achieve and pay raises to earn. We also provide continuous learning opportunities through workshops, seminars and online courses. Build your skills and increase your job satisfaction.

Predictive Index (PI) is a talent optimization tool that CarDon uses to help our associates develop their full potential. PI helps individual associates to grow in self-awareness and how to get their unique work needs met. PI also helps work teams appreciate the unique strengths each team member brings and how to leverage differences for the collective good.

Associates who advance through CarDon’s LeAP program are offered the opportunity to invest in others through coaching and/or mentoring. Our courses in coaching and mentoring prepare you for a meaningful contribution into the personal and professional development of younger or less-experienced colleagues.
